Savin' a 1,000 Words!

Took a hike to nearby Millicoma Wetlands. A few years back a public path with occasional information signs and benches was created for observing the wildlife and flora of the peaceful wetlands. This is a small 10″x10″ acrylic painting.

Have done a few smaller acrylics since last painting. Some of them failed and were repainted or put away for a re-paint. A couple may be kept. This is one of our backyard miniature apple tree – I was intrigued by its tangle of branches and unbalanced growth. Also, I wanted to play with texture on and around the tree – and invent some colors in the sky and background vegetation.
