Millicoma Wetlands 4

While viewing and taking in the nearby Millicoma Wetlands I saw a portion of the flat wetlands as if it were an ‘arena’. The arena floor was alive with drier and earthly colored fall day, rustling reeds and grasses holding up weathered bird sanctuaries and feeders. This arena floor was surrounded by taller and fall coated bushes and trees like a football stadium ablaze with school colors and youthful activity. The foreground of dark twigs, vines and brush completes the encircled arena by the darker areas getting higher on both sides and lower to near nothing at center.
After this one it is onward to the next – away from paper and on to doing our area’s outdoors more abstractly on canvases and panels.
